Dance Recital Videography
Lowe Productions films recitals, competitions, and performances to capture dancers in action. These videos can be used for personal keepsakes, promotional purposes, or even as submissions for competitions. Events are recorded using two or three professional high definition video cameras. The footage is then edited to create a polished final product keeping all choreography intact with smooth transitions, titling, and a full audio mix utilizing tap mics, audience/ambient sound and music synchronization.
For video delivery, we utilize a streaming service. All recordings are in high definition with a scene selection menu to quickly access a particular section or performance. The service has an app that can be downloaded to phones, tablets, smart TVs, computers, and laptops to make viewing easy and accessible. No more using time, data, and storage space to download videos!
At your request, Lowe Productions can provide a link for you to sample our videography and streaming services.
Recording Packages
Lowe Productions provides recording packages for dance studios. Not only does this provide each student and their family access to the performance recording, but it can be shared or downloaded for extended family members and friends to view.
Pricing
Prices for recording packages vary according to the location, number of shows and number of different performances within a recital. Many studios choose to build this fee into their tuition or recital fee to cover the cost. You have the option to set your own price to charge families and potentially provide a profit for your studio.
Payments
Payment for recording packages is split in half. The first half will be due prior to the event and the second half is due when the video is completed, prior to release.
Unauthorized Recording
We ask that audience members keep recording to a minimum during a taping as the light from phones is distracting in the video (not to mention other audience members).
Camera Placement
Some venues do not have an adequate area for a camera setup. If such a case arises, we require a small block of seats to be held for us for recording.
Requirements:
For audio capture – A line level signal via 1/8″, 1/4″, XLR or RCA output directly from the event sound system containing all source tracks used for the event be available. We have experience in sound engineering if there are questions as to how this can be provided.
At venues that do not allow us access to their soundboards to acquire audio or where the soundboard is not accessible for whatever reason, we will need the music tracks sent to us via DropBox or Google Drive within one week after the event.
We also place a small digital recorder at the stage to pick up tap routines when applicable if your show contains them and the venue allows. Additionally, please let us know if your show contains any microphone use or vocals so we can properly set up to capture that audio.
Electrical Needs – A working, 3-prong 120V electrical outlet available for our use.
